This is a genuine retail sales product and not an OEM edition and will do a full install from scratch.
This retail edition offers you both a clean install and an upgrade option.  Please read carefully as you are responsible for how you choose to install Windows 7.  
The cheaper upgrade editions can’t legitimately be used to perform a full clean install at a later date direct from the DVD if your PC breaks.
The minimum system requirements for install are;
  • 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
  • 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  • DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
  • DVD player – All 32 & 64 bit Windows 7 Install disks are on DVD and not CD regardless of which version and upgrade route you choose.
Higher specification is recommended if you wish to take advantage of the full capabilities of all Windows 7 editions as these are the minimum specifications.  Please note the 64-bit version requires a 64-bit Intel or AMD processor and I don’t think it’s possible to upgrade from 32-bit Windows XP to 64-bit Windows 7
